About Us

It was the year 1982, when I bought my first Irish Wolfhound puppy, after many years dreaming and a long waiting for a puppy. At that time only few IW-litters were born at each year in Finland. Since that I have shared my home and life with wolfhounds. After this first IW died at old age, I've always had 2-3 Irish Wolfhounds at the same time in my home. I like that and I feel, Wolfhounds are enjoying the company of their own kind.

During the years I have also imported some puppies from Sweden, Denmark and the latest ones from Canada and Poland.

1987 I got my kennel name "Wild Frontier" and in 1995 I - at last - bred my first Irish Wolfhound litter by my brood bitch Ulvsholms Treanna (import from Denmark). Since then I have bred four Irish Wolfhound litters to these days. Also some single other breed litters have been born in our home.

I want usually keep something for myself too from any litter I have, so I´m breeding only now and then, then, when I have a lovely bitch to go further in my breeding work and I deeply feel, it´s a good time for a new generation to be born.

Breeding Irish Wolfhounds is just my dear hobby, and I want to keep my amount of dogs in my home suitable (only few at the same time), so I´d have plenty of room and time to take care of them all as good as possible. Want to do my best, every generation would be a bit better than the earlier generation: Breeding healthy, happy and beautiful IWs is my goal to the future.

The Irish Wolfhound is a magnificent breed, indeed. Sharing my daily life already over 25 years with these magnificent hounds, has been a wonderful time and all worth it - definitely. Hopefully I will always have few beloved hounds in my home in the future too.
