FIN Ch Wild Frontier Deirdre
"Debi"

Best IW Veteran of 2007 in Finland

28.02.1999 - 12.2008

Elli´s first daughter "Debi" was such a sweet and happy girl, who just loved running on the open fields and peaceful forest ways; A real sighthound added with some hunting instinct too. She had some "pointing skills" also - especially for mice and birds!
She was a big (87cm) and curvy IW girl with strong bones & correct angulation. She had a long stride and easy flowing movement.

At her first summer a snake bite her to her nose and it took quite a long time before she was alright again. But with some rest and tender care, she healed completely from that bad experience. So it was time to start showing him.

Debi really enjoyed about dog shows and made always her best when shown in the ring. She was one of those rare dogs with natural show glamour in her. Many times she took judge´s attention and placed well in the ring. Debi won many BOS & BOB results, competed from group placements few times in Open, Champion and especially in Veteran classes. In fact, when ready, she quite easily collected her 3 CACs and so completed her FINCh title, after only few times shown.

At 19th of June 2005 in the Saarijärvi all breeds national show Debi wonderfully won Best of Breed judged by Paavo Mattila, Finland.
After that she placed wonderfully Group 2nd! The sighthound group was judged by Kirsti Lummelampi, Finland.

During summer-autumn 2007 Debi was shown five times in the Veteran class and won each time also BOB Veteran. She was in excellent condition to be 8,5 years old veteran, still moving like a dream; So she easily placed herself 1xBB 3rd and 2xBB 4th in those few International and one Finnish Sighthound Club Specialty shows. By those wonderful results Debi was honoured by the title:

The Veteran of the Year 2007!

Debi shared well over nine wonderful years with us as a beloved family member.
During her whole life, she was a very healthy and happy girl.
It was a sad day, when we had to let her go at June 2008. Fight against quickly growing bonecancer was lost.
Thank you Debbie for all those great years, you shared with us.
Your gentle heart was golden.
